(More customer reviews)An warning right off - I do not have "extremely troubled" skin (probably because I wash and wash!). But I do still suffer from plenty of occasional breakouts. I decided to pick this up when I'd become impressed with all other Burt's Bees products I'd come across. I had a few icky areas, rubbed on some of the blemish stick, and in only a few HOURS I returned to the mirror to see the area beginning to heal, and heal beautifully.
The negatives - the roller ball that you use to apply it doesn't roll very easily for some reason. I usually have trouble getting it started so have to work it on the back of my hand. The smell is also not pleasant at all, somewhat like licorice. But I just put a lotion on over it to cover it up and it's not too bad. Also, this will not work on any areas that aren't full-blown blemishes yet. (It doesn't seem to prevent a breakout, only heal it.)
Overall, I'm a very satisfied customer.
