(More customer reviews)This stuff is the real deal. Thick, creamy lather with assertive but classy scents. You won't believe that a shaving cream can actually protect your skin, make your shave closer, and make you feel pampered in a manly way all at the same time.
For a real treat work it into a lather with a badger (or boar) brush, such as the Omega Stripey or Tweezerman's with a little bit of water.
It's amazing how shaving can turn from a chore into a joy with an extra minute's effort. A few months ago I got "into" shaving and have gotten up earlier every day of the week (consistently early! a bum like me!) to make sure I have enough time for a relaxing shave because it's something I actually look forward to now.
I give this product an enthusiastic 5 stars. You'll never touch canned goo again.
Update 15 months later: I'm still a huge fan of the cream. I just wanted to add a little comparison. For Christmas I received D.R. Harris Arlington Shaving Cream Jar which is very similarly packaged, same consistency and such, is lasting about the same amount of time (I expect to get 5-6 months out of it, and I usually make enough lather for 5-6 passes even though I don't do that many I don't like running low and having thin layers), and the scent lasts about the same amount of time (which is to say it will be part of your shaving experience but won't last past your aftershave). The two differences between TOBS (Taylor of Old Bond Street) and DR Harris, in my humble opinion, is that the Arlington scent is of course DR Harris only, and I love that scent! and that the price of the Harris is roughly twice that of this TOBS. This is subjective opinion of course, but it's my 2 cents, and I'm about to put the same note on the DR Harris page and link people to this cream. TOBS is still my fave!
