Its ability to remove tough stains has earned it some much- deserved praise from consumers who are often amazed that this small, sponge/foam object can wipe away stains with such ease.
Mr. Clean Magic Eraser is good for most surfaces and it can clean up most any type of stain. I will often reach for one of these erasers when I need to remove an especially difficult stain, like an ink marker stain on the wall or crayon marks on the bed posts. Ordinary scrubbing pads often cannot budge these stains. But with a little water and a small amount of elbow grease, Mr. Clean Magic Eraser wipes off fingerprints, crayons, and most anything else with minimal effort. The manufacturer claims that gentle rubbing is all that is necessary, but I have found that it sometimes takes a little bit more effort to remove the really tough stains. I don't mind, though, because it still works and it is still better than the alternatives, which are to either accept the stain, try to scrub it off with an abrasive that may damage the surface, or possibly discard the stained item.
Mr. Clean Magic Eraser gradually disintegrates as you use it, so each eraser will last for only a short time. Depending on how much elbow grease you use, the eraser will shrink significantly with each use, reaching a point where it can no longer be used and must be discarded. I find that it is good for about five to ten uses until it has shrunk to the point where I can no longer use it. Sure, I would prefer that it last longer but once again, when you consider its ability to remove really tough stains, I can tolerate the fact that each eraser has a short life.
Mr. Clean Magic Eraser should not be used on glossy surfaces because it could damage the surface, but other than this small issue, these erasers are excellent products that clean where other products fail. They are an amazing cleaning device and they continue to amaze with each passing day as I discover more and more things to clean.
