Dreadlocks can either be done wrong or right, and please, do them right. This hairstyle doesn't need any more damage done to its reputation by idiots.
These kits are great, they have everything you need. No element is missing and it will make the whole process easier. Even people who have had dreads before and know the drill use these kits. They are used in salons that do dreads. A kit like this is going to make your dreadlock experience so much more fun and reduce the work and hassle because dreads actually require a large amount of care. I honestly prefer Dread Head HQ. Knotty Boy, etc. whatever you use is fine, there is no major reason I like Dread Head HQ better, I just know they really put devotion into their products to help customers have nice, healthy locks.
I have done dreads 3 times. Twice I didn't use a kit, just things you can pick up at Wal-Mart and Sally's and it was a fail. Third time I bought Dread Head products and it made everything go smoothly. Do yourself a favor, take your hair serious, and pick up one of these kits if you're going for dreads.
