(More customer reviews)I love the Ecover liquid laundry soap, fabric softener and stain remover gel so I was excited to try the dishwashing liquid. I've been searching for a good environmentally friendly and chemical free dishwashing soap because I have periodic eczema breakouts on my hands and harsh soaps can make washing dishes painful for me. (Also, I'm a bit of a newbie at environmentally friendly products and am just making the switch to all chemical free.) This product works well if you put a big load of dishes in the sink to soak prior to washing or if you are washing pans immediately after use.
However I have found that whenever I cook anything with olive oil or anything that leaves grease in the pan then this soap just isn't enough. If I let the pan sit and try to wash it after dinner there is a film of grease left in the pan, no matter how much soap or hot water I use. Unless the pan soaks for a long time the grease won't come completely off. Overall I was pretty disappointed in this product. It's good for some things but it won't cut it when trying to wash pans with grease. I think I'll try the Seventh Generation dishwashing liquid next. By the way, I used this product for over a month before deciding to review.
