Do the research on Benzalkonium Chloride. IT'S NOT KID SAFE.
It's NOT a natural chemical as many advertisers claim. These are people with a VESTED interest in you buying their product.
Benzalkonium chloride is a known cause of occupational asthma,chronic immune system disorders and chronic dermatitis.

(More customer reviews)I purchased this for my second child, who is now 8 months old, because he has battled with eczema. He would get it on his face so badly that it would crack and bleed. All soaps seemed to dry out his skin and make it worse. This soap is so mild and gentle that his eczema on his face has completely cleared up (even by his hairline). The bubble bath is perfect for my 3-year-old and the lotion is working well for both of them. I also use Burt's Bees buttermilk lotion, but this lotion works fine also. I will continue to buy this product!

(More customer reviews)Great product for babies and older kids as well. We use it as an all over product for our baby (7 months old) and a shampoo for our older child (5 years). She uses Burt's Bees - Baby Bee Buttermilk Soap, 3.5 oz bars to wash her body. The Avalon Shampoo and Body Wash works well for both kids. It also works well for us as I have an allergy to an ingredient in most baby products. We have had a hard time finding a product that I can use with the kids. We switched our older daughter to this as shampoo after having trouble with her fine hair looking greasy between baths. This shampoo has worked really well for her. Great product and love that it is a healthier product for us and the kids and the earth!

(More customer reviews)I bought this because hubby wanted 'real' baby shampoo/wash and I wanted something organic and natural as possible. I like the flip-top. It pops up at the touch of a button. I don't like the long list of ingredients - it still has some chemicals thrown in, like sodium benzoate. It does clean baby, and his hair smells nice. I have since learned that organic liquid castille soap (like Dr. Bronner's baby castille soap) is fine for hair and body. I put some in a liquid soap 'foaming' bottle with some jojoba oil for conditioning & I use that for shampoo. You can google recipes for homemade shampoo using castille soap. You can also use melted coconut butter or flax oil to condition your hair (sounds silly, but it works great!) Be sure to use only a little bit of coconut butter before washing your hair (yes, condition before washing, not after) and use only a small amount - it goes a long way.
