I have tried over twenty different bar soaps including those commercial detergents (soaps) such as Dove and Caress. Those commercial "soaps" strip your skin of all of your natural oils and produces a mild irritation since the main ingredients are synthetic surfactants. To combat the irritation, the makers of those "soaps" add more chemicals to mask the irritation. Stay away from those "soaps."
I introduced a friend who suffers from eczema to this soap and he said that it, too, was the best soap he has ever used. He uses nothing else now.
