(More customer reviews)I thought this would be a normal sort of sponge that is made out corse woven plastic. Good for exfoliation and good because I'm lazy and don't like moldy/stinky washcloths.
This sponge material is some sort of soft/thin/light/non-porous material more similar to a microfiber wash cloth. I actually found this harder to deal with in this shape than a normal washcloth, so I don't get any advantage this shape brings to basic washcloth.
If you are looking for a super-soft washcloth then this might be a good thing for you, otherwise I would steer clear.
