(More customer reviews)This soap has a very fake bubble gum smell when you smell the bar, but after it's on the skin, it leaves a bitter herbal scent that is not pleasant at all! As far as effects on the skin, the soap is fairly nice feeling and didn't dry my skin etc, so maybe their other soaps would be okay.
I don't know if they tested this fragrance first, but it is just what the title states, simply hideous.

(More customer reviews)This is without a doubt the BEST Patchouli hand/body wash I have ever tried. I have only used on my hands thus far but I can tell ya that it works wonders. My hands feel clean and soft after rinsing. I tend to have very sensitive skin when it comes to soaps and lotions but this soap seems to an almost healing quality. That's right! At least this is the case with me on my skin. Not to mention that wonderful Patchouli aroma. It's perfect. I will proudly be purchasing more Aging Hippie products from Mountain Country Soap.

(More customer reviews)I bought the Honey Almond Venezia Soapworks bath bar at a local discount store ( Roses )for $1 recently and gave it a try today. The reason why I bought it in the first place was the size. I don't believe I have ever bought a bar of soap this large. At a mammoth half pound this soap will give you a bang for your buck. I also liked the fact that it is all natural and doesn't have animal fat in it. The smell in the box is also nice. To me it smelled like a faint cherry almond scent kinda like Jergen's. Too bad once you get out of the shower you don't smell it on your skin. You feel clean but smell plain. It would be a good soap to use if you want to wear a cologne and not have it over powered by your shower. While bathing it foams up easily and feels like you're bathing in cream. You start to think this is a very moisturizing soap until you begin to dry off and notice your skin is a little tight. This soap cleans very well however and for the price and value it is not a bad buy.

(More customer reviews)I really like this product. My wife and I have only been using it for two weeks, and already we can tell that it's effective at cleaning, yet gentle on the skin. I particularly like the fact that it's not overly perfumed or floral-smelling; rather, it simply has a very mild, "herby" sort of fragrance. And so far the bar seems to last well. A simple (in a good way), but high-quality, soap.
We would definitely buy again, and try other products by this seller.

(More customer reviews)Rose is my all-time favorite scent. I know, I'm probably in the minority, because most people I know do not like rose scent, and they say it is "old-ladyish". I love the scent of rose. I have always loved it. Even if it puts me in the "old-lady" category, I don't care. I've loved it since I was a child, and I will never quit loving it. To me, it smells heavenly. I would love it if my whole house and yard smelled like roses.
This rose-scented soap is awesome. The smell is awesome, of course, and it also lathers up nicely. It is good-quality soap, the scent, the texture, the lather, the cleansing qualities, everything about it is awesome.
I've had other rose-scented soaps in the past that were stronger scented than this one. But I'm not complaining, because it is strong enough. In fact, after I used it, the whole room had the scent of roses when I went back in. I guess it depends on the size of the room, the humidity in the air, the way the air is blowing, etc. All I know is, the room had that awesome rose smell, and I didn't think the scent of the soap was that strong - but when I went back in, I saw how strong it really was.
This soap, to me, is absolutely heavenly.
I give five stars to a lot of products, because they deserve it. But this product deserves a lot more than five stars. This product is "the best of the best".

Sometimes, the best products to buy are the simplest ones. This mint soap may just be soap, but nowadays can those supermarket soaps with chemicals, sodium lauryl sulfate, synthetic materials, and words you've never heard of before actually be called a soap anymore? Buy this handmade Pre de Provence soap made of natural ingredients you've actually heard of before. I'm a guy but a woman would enjoy this soap too. I really like how the smell of the mint isn't overpowering and this makes for a nice shower experience. The bits of mint leaf aren't meant to exfoliate your skin but spread the scent. After all, wet leaves don't exfoliate but I didn't buy this soap for exfoliation. I also noticed after stepping out of the shower that my skin felt softer (likely due to the shea butter). After leaving the bathroom, my skin smells odorless so not much mint smell (if at all) remains and I don't mind this at all. Soap is supposed to be used to clean your body and this soap does just that, not leave a lingering chemical scent on the skin. I highly recommend it and a bar this big will last for months.

I bought it cause my fiance loved the South of France soaps - he's a construction worker of all things, but loved that they lather up and make him feel super clean. Said they lathered better than any other soap. So I mistakenly got these ones thinking they were the same thing.
They are nice, just way too expensive for the tiny size.
