(More customer reviews)Hey Amazon, are you listening? The detergent is excellent. I have used Tide for years and they also rate high on Consumer Reports for front loaders. I won't buy it here at that price. As other reviewers have commented, it is way overpriced on Amazon. I can get it a lot cheaper at Walmart or even my local supermarket. Amazon pricing is great on a lot of items. They really missed the boat on this one.

(More customer reviews)I adore this and I'm terribly grieved to report that Proctor and Gamble (who own Tide among other product lines) confirmed that they have chosen to discontinue the entire Simple Pleasures line. The rep I spoke with on 11-04-2009 tells me that P&G recommend instead that people use their "Tide with a Touch of Downey" and they do offer the lavender scent. They have liquid and powder forms of their lines -- this appears to be "Tide Lavender Powder" -- 80 use and 120 use, and Tide with a Touch of Downey -- lavender scent" liquid is 40 oz, 50 oz, 75 oz, 100 oz sizes.
It's hard to find, but keep asking your store managers for "Tide with a Touch of Downey -- lavender scent" as the nearest equivalent.
And man, do I wish manufacturers would discontinue *awful* things and continue producing good ones!
*** Update as of 2009-11-11 ***
You can still find some of these discontinued items in places like your local large home improvement stores depending on where you live. They will likely continue selling until the stock runs out. I found six more bottles locally at mine.
I have seen and smelled the new Tide with a Touch of Downey -- lavender scent. [Available in your supermarkets and large department stores like K-Mart and Wal-Mart.] I have no idea whether the new Tide cleans as well as the old one. It certainly doesn't smell as good. Sigh. It does not smell good at all, let alone good enough to replace this one. Maybe if you add additional vanilla essential oil to it or something, it would help. To me it smelled bitter and metallic.

(More customer reviews)My grandmother bought almost nothing but this exclusively for 25 years. It was recommended for her washing machine, and she just kept using it. Gets out most tough stains, and leaves a very light scent behind. This is also multiversitle for removing grease from surfaces such as garage floors (almost as good as prell shampoo). The only disadvantage is the cost, but sometimes it's worth it if you need the extra power. Good for a switch up once in a while, but a bit pricy for me for everyday use.

It washed my dishes and left them spotless and scentless. My child is extremely sensitive to perfumes and scents and this product did not bother her at all. In the past her eyes would become red and swollen when I used other detergents. I was extremely nervous about ordering this product initially because of the output of so much money on 12 bottles for a product I had never tried before. I ordered it via the subscription plan and am EXTREMELY satisified with this product. It is a GREAT price on each bottle considering that it will wash at least 60 loads when using 1 Tablespoon per load. I have soft water and use 1/2 tablespoon for each dispenser cup.

(More customer reviews)I really waffled between rating this item a 3 or 4. I love the Caldrea line, and all of the company's products clean well (as they should, considering the price). I just don't like this scent as well as Sandlewood Riceflower. I'm glad that I got a relatively inexpensive item in this scent line to try out before making a larger investment in the laundry products. I won't be buying any more items in this scent.
